The U.S. is near, or in, a recession, depending on whom you listen to. The Federal Reserve is about to cut interest rates again. Most areas of the U.S. Real Estate market are depressed, with some exceptions such as New York City, Seattle and Charlotte. Overall in the U.S. the average housing prices are down by almost 3% this year. In Canada, our real estate market is strong with record sales for the year-ended December 31, 2007 setting new records in cities such as Toronto.
