With the new Toronto Land Transfer Tax kicking in later this month (note that two of the three exemptions will no longer be in effect after Jan 31 this month – see my Toronto Land Transfer Tax page for complete information), a slowing U.S. economy, a strong Canadian dollar, and weakening consumer confidence, will 2008 be a strong year for real estate in Toronto? Or, will it stall in the wake of these economic factors?
