We’re proud to introduce our first official listing for O’Neill Real Estate, and we’re pleased to introduce it in high-definition.
It was a fun challenge to shoot the listing video because there was a tight time constraint. Armed with cameras, tripods, lights and coffee, all interior and exterior footage was shot in a single morning and the final cut posted on YouTube by noon the next day.
Everything was shot in Full HD 1080p, which added a great deal of complexity to the production. HD takes more time to render, more time to upload, and your footage needs to be immaculate; the slightest blemish or camera mistake sticks out like a sore thumb.
The great news is that this semi-detached house is gorgeous. The whole house – front porch, backyard, interior – is fully renovated and the kitchen especially looks terrific wrapped in granite, chocolate-coloured wood and stainless steel. Take a look.

Diggin’ it George! Now how do you get the video more exposure on other websites than Youtube and your blog!
Hi Chris,
Nice to hear from you. There are lots of ways. Number one is Realtor.ca where the video is found via a link to the listing information. We also use Craigslist and Kijiji. In the past (over 200 Episodes of my daily vlog) I used Viddler, and may syndicate again to that site. Since most people looking for residential real estate in Canada either go to Realtor.ca, Google (#1 search site) or YouTube (#2 search site) we have great coverage. I am also thinking about video syndication, using tools like Tubemogul, but that is really going after the long-tail (which is not a bad thing).
What would you recommend?
George
I like Tweeting about cool new office listings but also like sites like Issuu.com and SlideShare.net (which you can use with your LinkedIn account). Kijiji and Craigslist are great for additional coverage but you almost need to pay or post daily and get lucky as the sites are impossible to search.
When I go on a listing pitch I always ask – what is the other realtor’s social media plan and go to market strategy for your office space as MLS is just not enough these days!
